This is an SEL lesson appropriate for anytime of the year, but definitely at this uncertain time where there are so many things we cannot control.
I love teaching this lesson (as it’s a good reminder for us grown ups too). For digital learning, you can send the students a worksheet to print, but most of my students just used a blank sheet of paper… it is easy for them to draw the circles of control.
Here is the worksheet (there are 2 to choose from).
Within the ppt is this video. It’s great (9 minutes long)
Let me know if you have any questions.

I have always wanted to do a guidance lesson on The Circle of Control and now I can. I love the games that you have embedded in the lesson. This lesson is genius and so good for my upper grade students
This is a great lesson! Thank you for sharing. Is there a way to purchase this lesson so that I can send it out to my remote learners?
You should be able to download it and then share with your learners. Click download as… and you should be good to go. Let me know if you have further questions.
In the video you talk about the next lesson being about giving away your power…Do you have this lesson available for download?
I tried the power point link and it didn’t work. Do you have this available some place else?
Unfortunately the link says expired, but it looks great!
Michelle, I’ve fixed the link! Thanks for letting me know.
